The Talisman by Serusier comes to the Orsay Museum

From January 29th to June 2nd, 2019, the Musée d'Orsay pays tribute to one of the leading artists of the Nabis group of avant-garde Post-Impressionists. The exhibition presents Paul Serusier's most famous work, The Talisman, a small landscape in which the colours dissolve and merge at the threshold of abstraction. As you pass from room to room, you’ll learn more about Serusier's influences, his career, and especially the decisive impact his mysterious Talisman had on the genesis of modern art.

Vasarely and the Sharing of Forms at the Pompidou Centre

Optical art, popularly called Op Art, is featured at the Pompidou Centre from February 6th to May 6th, 2019. This large-scale retrospective of the colourful iconic paintings and optical illusions created by Victor Vasarely, a pioneer in his field, examines the creative process of the Hungarian-French artist and his strong desire to create a socially-oriented art form integrated with architecture and urbanism.

Calder – Picasso; a meeting of artistic minds at the Picasso Museum

In its new exhibition running from February 19th to August 25th, 2019, the Musée Picasso examines the connections between the highly influential Spanish artist, Pablo Picasso and the American sculptor, Alexander Calder, noted for his kinetic and monumental works. Calder-Picasso questions the role of negative space in the artistic expression of these two giants of 20th century art.
